The comic strip started as a writing exercise to help me develop characters for a picture book idea. I shared some of those first cartoons on instagram and they received more likes and feedback than almost anything else I had ever posted. I figured, I might be on to something and I also really, REALLY enjoyed creating them.
The book idea is the story of a 5 year old girl and the absolute passion she has for her cat… Well, all cats really but especially her pet cat. I’m still working working on this book and it’s been expanded into three separate book ideas, but more about that later. For now, I think it makes a lot of sense as a comic strip.
“Cat ‘n Kid” is the comic strip and I hope you can stay with me as the characters and storylines develop and evolve. I have a few sketchbooks full of ideas in various states to help me along the way.
I’ll be posting new comics here regularly as well as on the new Cat ‘n Kid instagram account in a slightly different format.
