School and Library Visits
James has given hundreds of presentations and workshops at elementary, junior and senior high schools across Alberta. As a former school librarian, a focus on literacy and storytelling is one of his primary goals. James’ fast-paced and engaging workshops involve student collaboration, creative games and practical exercises that will build confidence in students and a love for storytelling.
Sessions are low-tech. All students require are pencils(and crayons), erasers, and blank paper. All James needs is a whiteboard and or a chart board. The class time can vary from 30 minutes to 2 hours in length. The ideal classroom experience should have under 30 students.
Available for single-session, half-day or full-day events.
